Hyunseung
Kyle
Kyle
Kyle is a media artist based in New York and currently studying Interactive Media Arts at NYU. His work focuses on visualizing intangible phenomena that are frequently overlooked, using research led experimentation to turn invisible forces into experiences people can see, hear, and physically read over time.
His recent project MG>TIDE explores coastal vulnerability in the context of climate driven change. Using magnetic fluid and a controlled magnetic field system, the work choreographs fluid behavior as a living model of tidal motion and rising coastal risk, making slow, large scale processes legible through material movement.
Alongside his studio practice, Kyle works as a freelance media artist. Selected collaborators include BIBI, O’domar, deepshower, the Ministry of Education of Korea, and Hallym University. He has also contributed to Korea’s independent music scene by art directing for emerging artists including Ikase, July On, igeunghyul, nokeum, Chanwoo Bang, Kimu, and shinsammy sj.
Through internships at Harbor Picture Company and Komune, Kyle has built strong art direction instincts and the ability to deliver polished work under fast paced production deadlines.
